The up-and-coming Indiana Fever, on their way to the playoffs, will host the injury-plagued Los Angeles Sparks in Indianapolis on Wednesday night.

Caitlin Clark is in top form, leading the Fever to a 6-1 record since the All-Star and Olympic breaks in Paris.

Can Clark and Co. continue their exceptional play or will Los Angeles thwart what will undoubtedly be a warm welcome for the Fever fans in Indiana?

Sparks vs. Fever: Caitlin Clark prop

Since the break, Clark has been virtually unstoppable and it is no coincidence that the Fever have a 6-1 record during that time.

Clark averaged 24.6 points, 9.0 assists and 5.0 rebounds per game on a ridiculous 48/39/92 shooting ratio. Such efficiency at the volume Clark commands is rare.

The Sparks are 3-18 in their last 21 games. Woof.

Since June 28, they rank 11th in defensive rating, trailing only the Dallas Wings, who play a Matador-style defense. The Sparks have also allowed their opponents the highest percentage of shots from behind the three-point line during that time.

Needless to say, this bodes well for the accurate Clark, who has sunk nearly four of 10 attempts from beyond the arc per game. She has broken her 3-point barrier in seven straight games, and this game should be no different.

Sparks vs. Fever Prediction

How good have the Fever been since returning from the break?

During that time, Indiana ranked second in offensive rating (111.0), third in net rating (+9.0), second in effective field goal percentage and fourth in defensive rebound percentage.

Additionally, the Fever have held their opponents in the W to the lowest paint average.

Indiana has not improved in one area since returning from the break: defending the 3-point line.

In fact, the Fever rank 10th in opponents' 3-point percentage during this stretch, making 37.3% of their attempts. That's not a recipe for long-term success, regardless of how well Indiana's offense has performed.

Here's the good news: Los Angeles ranks ninth in the league in 3-point percentage and has the seventh-most attempts this season. Over the last 13 games, the Sparks have been even worse, shooting the second-lowest percentage from beyond the arc.

They pose no threat from behind the arch.

With this version of the Fever, scoring double digits at home against the worst team in the league seems like a piece of cake.

Choose: Fever -12 (-108, FanDuel)
