Weather in San Francisco: These cities will have the hottest temperatures this week

The Bay Area is set to get warmer this week, with some inland areas expected to see triple-digit temperatures, while other areas could see highs up to 15 degrees above average, according to the National Weather Service.

The heat will definitely be a problem for firefighters and that danger will continue at higher elevations through Friday morning due to dry conditions and low humidity, the NWS said.

Most parts of the Bay Area will experience a “light” or “moderate” heat wave, the NWS said.

Other cities, however, would experience a “major” heat wave that could affect the health of their residents, the NWS said.

  • According to the NWS, temperatures in Concord will be below 100 degrees most of the week.
  • In Livermore the temperatures are around 99 to 100 degrees.
  • Temperatures around 35 degrees are expected in Sunnyvale, Napa and San Rafael.

The peak of the autumn heatwave will be on Wednesday this week.
