After Natascha Hiltrop’s gold coup, there are again sobering results for the shooters.

Sports shooter Tobias Meyer missed the finals in his second appearance at the Paralympic Games in Paris. The 25-year-old came 13th in the 50 m free pistol qualification, missing three rings to reach the finals in the P4 class. Only the best eight qualified for the medal eliminations scheduled for the afternoon at the Chateauroux Shooting Centre.

Moritz Möbius also missed out on participating in the final in the R9 starting class with the small caliber rifle. 619.9 rings and 14th place were a little too low overall. Like Meyer, Möbius had already failed to make it through the qualification in his first competition at the Games.

Hopeful Natascha Hiltrop

Natascha Hiltrop won gold in the three-position shooting competition on Tuesday and had another chance on Thursday with the small bore. The German team is represented by five sports shooters just under three hours' drive south of Paris.
