This time, Olympic champion Dorothee Schneider and Ostwind star Kenzie Dysli will be guests at the Fichtenhof Classics in Neufahrn near Schäftlarn. It is intended to be an adventure event for the whole family. You can still get your tickets now.

Schäftlarn – His goal: to organize more than just a horse riding tournament. “I'm going to organize an event for the whole family,” says Arnaud Petit. He and his wife Andrea run the Fichtenhof riding facility in Neufahrn, a district of the municipality of Schäftlarn. For three years he has organized the Fichtenhof Classics, a dressage tournament from lead reins to Grand Prix with master classes and a show. This time it will take place from Thursday, September 26th to Sunday, September 29th. “This year the idea was to do everything a little bigger.” “This is a new path for equestrian sport,” says Petit. “Because if we're honest, it's usually only riders who come to watch normal dressage or show jumping tournaments, even though there are so many people who are interested in horses.” You only have to take a look at the Cavalluna Park in the north of Munich or the Pferd International, which takes place every year on the Olympic grounds in Riem. “The extensive range on offer makes them an attraction for young and old.”

Show evening for the whole family

That's why the 42-year-old has put on a show for Saturday evening that leaves nothing to be desired. The event is called “Signum's Gala Night of Horses” and promises an unforgettable experience for the whole family. The star is Kenzie Dysli, who is known to many from the Ostwind films or the Cavalluna shows. She is a horse trainer, show rider and actress – specializing in liberty dressage, working equitation, Doma Vaquera and western riding. Together with Laurie Tisseur, she shows the audience how fine riding works. If you like it a little faster, you can look forward to Ludwig Weinmayr and Claus Luber. The two show what you can do with a carriage and show their four-in-hand in a pas de deux. Luber also likes to harness his Haflinger with the long Walla mane to the chariot – the famous quadriga -, puts on a gladiator outfit and really gets things going. Things also get hot at the fire show “Excalibur Horseshows” by Nicki and Dajana Pfeifer.

Christina Breuer, also known as “Hello Horses”, fascinates the audience with her riding without any bridle or saddle – pure trust between horse and human. She was already part of the series “The Horse Trainer” on Sixx. The Brüsewitz brothers Viktor, Thommy and Jannik enchant the audience with acrobatic tricks on horseback. The members of the Müller dance center in Wolfratshausen demonstrate their sense of rhythm and tact with a two-legged partner. “The show lasts around two hours and is a hit every day,” says the Luxembourg native, who has been a sports and show presenter at countless horse events such as the Munich Indoors, the Frankfurt Festhalle tournament or Balve Optimum, where the German championships are regularly held. That's why Petit can also call Dorothee Schneider, double Olympic dressage champion, “a good friend”. “We've known each other for 15 years and I'm very happy that she's coming to us.”

Lesson with Olympic champion

On Thursday evening, dressage enthusiasts can learn from the riding master from Rhineland-Palatinate. In a master class, she reveals some of her secrets on how horse and human can develop into a perfect unit. One day later, on Friday evening, Kenzie Dysli will demonstrate the magic of horsemanship. “We are very proud to welcome two such top-class horsewomen,” says Petit, who until recently was managing partner of Reitsport Max Benz GmbH. A saddlery that operated a shop in Hergolding (Ebersberg district) for many years. However, due to a lack of staff, the business had to close down. According to the website, however, there is already a successor.

Foal auction and dressage tournament

While tickets must be purchased for the evening events, there is also a free program during the day. On Sunday at 2 p.m., for example, there is a foal auction by the German Sport Horse Association. Two high-class dressage foals are looking for a new owner. Dressage competitions are also taking place from Thursday to Sunday, and after the foal auction the Grand Prix Special, the most difficult international dressage competition, begins.
