Bihar: A tragic incident occurred in Saran district of Bihar in which over 100 people were injured when a dilapidated shed collapsed during the Mahavir Akhara procession in Ishauvpur block. The incident occurred when a crowd had gathered on the shed to watch dance performances during the procession. The shed, unable to bear the weight of so many people, suddenly gave way and the spectators fell to the ground.

A video of the incident captured the horrific moment when the building collapsed and people fell. Rescue workers were quickly mobilized and the injured were taken to a nearby government hospital where they received immediate medical attention. The severity of the injuries varied, but all victims were treated by medical staff. The exact number of casualties is not known, but local reports say over 100 people were injured in the incident.

40 injured in house collapse in Patna

This incident is unfortunately just one of many similar incidents in the region. Just last month, another serious incident occurred in Patna in which at least 40 people were injured when the wall of a house collapsed. The incident took place in the Shripalpur area on the outskirts of the city during a religious function held at the residence of a local man named Neeraj Kumar.

The majority of those injured in this collapse were women who had gathered for the event. According to Rajeev Mishra, Chief Superintendent of Police of Patna, the wall gave way unexpectedly, causing great panic and injuries among the participants. Rescue operations were immediately initiated and the injured were provided with necessary medical care.

Couple dies in MP when wall collapses

In another tragic incident on August 29, a couple in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, lost their lives when a wall of their house collapsed while they were sleeping. The incident took place in Ward 12 of Bhattariya Mohalla in Majholi, a district known for its old and dilapidated buildings.

The wall, weakened by the persistent heavy rain, suddenly collapsed and the couple was buried under the rubble. Despite immediate rescue attempts by local residents, the man and woman died on the spot. Fortunately, their three children, who were outside the house at the time of the collapse, were unharmed.
