PBI investigates murder case against 24 people, including Hasina and Quader

According to the case, Amir Hossain was shot dead in front of BTV Bhaban in Rampura area of the city on July 19 when police and criminals opened fire on students and public on the orders of the accused.

A court in Dhaka today ordered the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) to investigate a murder case involving 24 people, including deposed Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and former minister Obaidul Quader, for gunning down a man during student protests in Rampura on July 19.

The victim's wife filed the case in the court of Dhaka City Magistrate Afnan Sumi this morning.

The court recorded the plaintiff's testimony and ordered the PBI to investigate the case.

Among those named as accused were former Interior Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal and Awami League leaders Kamruzzaman Polash and ABM Siddique.
