Malayalam superstar Nivin Pauly accused of gang rape, actor says: ‘I don’t know the girl’

Premam fame actor Nivin Pauly landed in trouble after a woman alleged that he sexually assaulted her in a Dubai hotel last year after promising her a film role. The woman from Ernakulam district has also named five other people, including a producer, in her complaint.

Nivin was named as the sixth accused in their FIR. However, the Ohm Shanthi Oshaana actor flatly denied the allegations and termed them as untrue. On his Instagram account, Pauly said the allegations were completely untrue and he was ready to face legal challenges to prove his innocence.

“I have come across a hoax accusing me of molesting a girl. Please be assured that this is absolutely untrue. I am determined to do everything I can to prove that these allegations are baseless and will take all necessary steps to bring those responsible to light. Thank you for your concern. The rest will be handled legally,” Pauly said in an Instagram post.

“I am here and I will not run away,” the actor added. He also mentioned that he had not met the complainant and expressed his willingness to cooperate with the investigation.

Following the publication of the Hema Committee report, cases were filed against a number of other prominent actors, including Jayasurya, Baburaj, Siddique, film director Ranjith and many others.
