Accident – Motorcyclist dies – Cyclist in critical condition – Bavaria

Pörnbach (dpa) – A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a cyclist in Pörnbach (Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm district). The cyclist was also in a critical state of health after the accident in the late afternoon, police said. It is still unclear how exactly the accident at an intersection occurred.

The 67-year-old woman was riding a pedelec when the motorcycle collided with the cyclist at the intersection. She was thrown onto the asphalt and remained unconscious. The 65-year-old motorcyclist also fell and was no longer responsive.

He was taken to a hospital in Ingolstadt by rescue helicopter, where his condition worsened and he died a short time later. His wife was also taken to hospital. An expert is now to clarify the exact course of events of the accident.
