Gunfire erupts in Delhi's Malviya Nagar, victims in hospital

In a shocking incident in Malviya Nagar, Delhi, a group of three to four people opened fire on a man named Vikas, according to police reports. The incident took place on Tuesday evening.

Gyanchand, the victim's uncle, said that the attackers came by car and fired several shots at Vikas, who was then taken to the hospital for further treatment.

“Around 9:30 pm, a PCR call was received at Malviya Nagar police station regarding the shooting incident. Police arrived at the scene where the caller reported that 3-4 unidentified persons came in a car and shot at his nephew Vikas,” Delhi Police said. Authorities are currently investigating the incident to find out more details.

Earlier, on August 25, another shooting incident occurred at a cafe in Delhi's Satya Niketan district after an altercation broke out between customers and the cafe manager.

“Some persons from Jahangirpuri had visited a cafe in Satya Niketan. During an argument over a table, they pulled out a pistol and opened fire in the air,” said a statement from the Delhi Police.
