Tragic accident claims life of transgender person in Lower Parel

A tragic accident occurred in Lower Parel on Tuesday evening, leaving a 32-year-old transgender person dead, police said. The incident took place around 5.30 pm when the victim's scooter skidded and was hit by a dumper truck.

The scooter got caught under the rear wheel of the truck, causing serious injuries to the victim. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, but unfortunately, doctors declared him dead on arrival, a police official said.

The victim was identified as a resident of Worli BDD Chawl. An accidental death was reported at NM Joshi Marge police station, authorities confirmed.
