Racine woman charged with manslaughter of boyfriend

RACINE – A woman was arrested and charged with first-degree manslaughter after she allegedly admitted to stabbing her boyfriend to death Sunday.

According to a Racine Police press release, officers responded to a residence in the 1700 block of Howe Street around 10:58 a.m. after receiving reports of an “assault in progress.”

At the scene, a 22-year-old woman reportedly admitted to stabbing her 25-year-old boyfriend, the press release said. The man's friends reportedly took him to the hospital before police arrived.

The press release states that the man was flown to Milwaukee and succumbed to his injuries during surgery.
