Punjab: Gangster Jaggu Bhagwanpuria’s aide injured in clash with police in Jalandhar

Police Commissioner Swapan Sharma said Kannu Gujjar, Bhagwanpuria's right-hand man, was seriously injured in the retaliatory firing by the police team that was tracking his movements in Jalandhar city.

“A total of nine shots were fired by both sides during the encounter. Gujjar was wanted for several heinous crimes, including murder and extortion,” Sharma said.

Two weapons were recovered from the crime scene while the accused was taken to the Jalandhar Government Hospital.

Bhagwanpuria hails from Bhagwanpura village in Gurdaspur district of Punjab. He is facing over 100 cases of illegal arms trafficking, drug smuggling and attempted murder in various states across the country.
