Police investigate nighttime shooting in North Boulder, 1 injured

Tulsa police said they were called to a home on North Boulder Avenue around 11 p.m. and found a man with a gunshot wound to the leg.

According to police, the victim is a man in his twenties who was taken to hospital and is expected to survive.

Investigators are now questioning the man to find out more about the incident.

Police said that when they arrived, the only witnesses present were several small children who were also in the house at the time of the shooting.

“The family members who arrived called the police and left the area with the children. The person who was shot remained here,” said Captain Matt Arnold. “We are currently investigating whether the altercation took place in the house or perhaps in the front yard.”

Although there were no witnesses other than the children, police do not believe the victim shot himself, she said.

Investigators said they are looking for a suspect but have not yet arrested him.

Tulsa police said they arrested a person at the home who refused to stay away from the scene, but officials do not believe that person is the shooter.
