Teens charged with murder after Jahziah Coke, 13, was stabbed to death in Oldbury

In her speech, Jahziah’s mother described her son as a “polite, friendly and family-oriented young man.”

“He was very loving and always smiling,” she said.

“His smile lit up the room.”

The two teenagers, whose names cannot be used for legal reasons and whose ages have not been disclosed, were arrested on Sunday.

West Midlands Ambulance Service said the boy was treated by paramedics but died at the scene.

Bouquets of flowers were placed in front of the house.

Officials continue to ask anyone with information to come forward.

“We have carried out CCTV surveys in the area but also need feedback from anyone who has footage from dashboard cameras, doorbells, security cameras or mobile phones that could assist with the investigation,” a police spokesman said.
