50-year-old arrested after stabbing in Jamaica Plain

A 50-year-old man is facing charges in connection with a stabbing Sunday night in Jamaica Plain in which another man was injured.

Alex Pena of Hyde Park is charged with assault with a dangerous weapon and driving without a license.

Boston police said officers were dispatched to the area of ​​383 Center St. around 9:42 p.m. Sunday for a report of a person being stabbed. At the scene, they found a man with a stab wound. He was transported to a local hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

Police said officers sent a description of the suspect and a fleeing vehicle. Shortly before 10 p.m., a vehicle matching the description was located and stopped by officers near 1251 Hyde Park Ave. The vehicle's sole occupant, later identified as Pena, was arrested. Police said it was later determined that the 50-year-old's driver's license had been revoked.

Pena is scheduled to be arraigned in West Roxbury District Court.
