“I am safe, my people are safe,” AP Dhillon says after reports of gunshots outside his home in Canada surfaced online

Vancouver [Canada]September 3 (ANI): Indian-Canadian singer AP Dhillon on Tuesday assured his fans that “he is safe” after gunshots were reportedly fired outside his Vancouver home.

In his Instagram story, the “Brown Munde” singer posted a message thanking his friends for reaching out to him, but did not mention any details about the alleged incident.

“I am safe. My people are safe. Thank you to everyone who has reached out. Your support means everything (folded hands emoji). Peace and love to all,” AP Dhillon wrote.

AP Dhillon rose to fame with the chart-topping hit Brown Munde (2020). His other popular songs include Excuses, With You, Toxic, Tere Te, Spaceship, Insane and True Stories.

He recently collaborated with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan for the song “Old Money”. He was seen with Salman in the video of the song.

In April, for example, two men on a motorcycle opened fire outside Salman's residence in Bandra, Mumbai. The subsequent arrests revealed links to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, prompting the Mumbai Police to invoke the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) against all those involved in the shooting.

On June 4, a four-member team, including an officer from the Mumbai Crime Branch, visited Khan's house to record statements from Khan and his brother Arbaaz. Both brothers were interrogated for a total of six hours.

The investigation revealed that Salman Khan was at home on the day of discharge and had slept for a long time after attending a party. In his statement, the actor stated that the sound of a bullet hitting the balcony of his apartment woke him up.

“I went to the balcony to check and looked outside but didn’t see anyone,” Salman said.

Six men have been arrested so far in the Salman Khan dismissal case. (ANI)
