Hezbollah fires dozens of rockets at the Galilee region in northern Israel

According to Israeli media reports, Hezbollah fired dozens of rockets at northern Israel on Monday, causing sirens to sound in several settlements.

The Israeli army radio station reported that sirens were activated in several settlements in northern Israel when dozens of rockets were detected being fired from Lebanon towards the Western Galilee region.

However, the report did not specify whether any of these rockets hit targets or were intercepted by Israeli forces, nor did it mention any casualties or property damage.

The news website Times of Israel cited a statement by the Israeli army and said 30 rockets were fired.

It also said that the Israeli army had allegedly attacked a building used by Hezbollah in the town of Markaba in southern Lebanon.

The Hezbollah group had previously stated that its fighters had fired Katyusha rockets at the Israeli settlements of Ein Yaakoub, Ja'aton and Yehiam in response to Israeli attacks on Lebanon.

Tensions have escalated along Lebanon's border with Israel amid cross-border attacks between Hezbollah and Israeli forces, while Tel Aviv continued its brutal offensive on the Gaza Strip, an attack launched by the Palestinian resistance group Hamas on October 7 that killed over 40,800 people.
