AP Dhillon shooting: 'I am safe,' says AP Dhillon after Lawrence Bishnoi gang fires at his house in Canada

According to reports, gunshots were fired outside Punjabi singer AP Dhillon's house on Victoria Island in Vancouver, Canada, after which the singer assured his fans that he was safe. This incident took place soon after Dhillon released a music video with actor Salman Khan. Rohit Godara, a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi Gang, has claimed responsibility for the shooting and issued death threats against the singer.

“I am safe, my people are safe. Thank you to everyone who has reached out to me. Your support means everything,” AP Dhillon said on Instagram.

The incident took place in two locations in Canada – Victoria Island and Woodbridge, Toronto, according to an unverified post purportedly from Rohit Godara, who claimed that he targeted Dhillon's house because the singer had collaborated with Salman Khan in a music video.

AP Dhillon is known for his unique blend of 80s-style synth-pop and Punjabi music. His rise to global recognition has been marked by popular songs such as 'Brown Munde', 'Excuses', 'Summer High', 'With You', 'Dil Nu' and 'Insane'.

In November of last year, Lawrence Bishnoi, a gangster allegedly responsible for similar incidents, claimed responsibility for a shooting at singer Gippy Grewal's home in Canada. The incident reportedly took place in Vancouver's White Rock neighbourhood.

In early April, an incident was registered in which two motorcyclists opened fire outside Salman Khan's residence at Galaxy Apartments in Mumbai's Bandra area. Mumbai Police has listed jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and his younger brother Anmol Bishnoi as “wanted accused” in connection with the shooting.
