Bushfire breaks out near Santa Fe Dam in Irwindale

A brush fire broke out near the Santa Fe Dam in Irwindale on Monday afternoon.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department dispatched crews to the recreation area after the fire broke out around 3:55 p.m. and ravaged about 5 acres of land.

The fire had spread to about 4 hectares before firefighters got it under control. No one was injured in the fire and there was no danger to structures.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department is trying to determine the cause of the fire.
