Serious accident on the Elbchausse – road closed

A serious traffic accident occurred in Nienstedten on Monday afternoon. One person was injured. A van collided head-on with a car. The road has been closed since then.

As the police told MOPO in response to a query, there was a head-on collision between a van and a VW in front of the Louis C. Jacob Hotel at around 12:20 p.m. The van had previously driven into oncoming traffic for unknown reasons.

Transporter's broken axle makes recovery difficult

One person in the VW was injured and taken to hospital. The van's axle broke in the accident. This makes clearing the road difficult. The Elbchaussee is currently still closed.
