New kindergarten and pre-school opens in Apley, Telford

A brand new purpose-built nursery and pre-school opened in Apley Telford today with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

The brand new Your Co-op Little Pioneers Apley nursery in Coopers Mill has opened following an £800,000 investment by its owners, The Midcounties Co-operative, and offers around 100 places for children aged three months to five years.

Your Co-op Little Pioneers is run by one of the UK's largest independent co-operatives, the Midcounties Co-operative. Their mission is to provide a holistic, child-centred approach to education, helping every child achieve their best whilst learning about the communities and world they live in.

Each child and family at the new Apley Nursery will be assigned a caregiver who will listen and work with them to ensure they get the most out of nursery life, from updates on their child's progress to advice on toilet training, nutrition, friendships, sleep habits and more.

The nursery has three separate rooms with an environment tailored to each age group to support their learning and development whilst ensuring they have fun. There is also on-site parking, a large garden for outdoor play and a designated parent room where parents can chat with their assigned carer, use free WiFi and coffee to work with or just relax. Nursery fees include all nappies, wipes and nutritious snacks and meals for the whole day.

As well as being highly recommended by parents on the Day Nurseries website and holding Millie's Mark accreditation, all of Your Co-op Little Pioneers nurseries have at least Eco-Schools Silver status, which recognises their efforts to help children understand and take responsibility for their environmental impact. The nursery team in Apley, Telford, will be aiming to achieve these accolades soon after opening too.
