Roy Keane predicts where Man Utd will finish this season after crushing Liverpool

Roy Keane has confirmed his prediction.

Roy Keane has given his prediction on where he thinks Manchester United will end up after their humiliating 3-0 home defeat to Liverpool.

United suffered a second consecutive defeat on Sunday as Arne Slots Liverpool secured a comfortable 3-0 win at Old Trafford thanks to goals from Mo Salah and Luis Diaz.

United started the game strongly, but all their good work was undone by two costly errors from Casemiro, who lost possession for both goals in the first half.

The Brazilian was brutally tackled by Erik ten Hag at half-time, but the Dutch coach defended the midfielder during his press conference at the end.

After the game, Roy Keane was asked if he would stick to his opinion after previously predicting that United would finish ahead of Liverpool, who had achieved maximum points up to that point.

“I will stay at United, I have to. I still believe United will finish in the top four,” Keane explained.

His Sky colleague Daniel Sturridge was not impressed by Keane's comments and quickly replied: “You only say it to say it, Roy.”

His United colleague Gary Neville was asked the same question and seemed to have the same blind faith as his former captain.

“Yeah, why not?” said Neville, which caused a loud laugh from all around.

“You know what I mean, why not? I'm a Manchester United fan, Liverpool and City have been outstanding.”

“Liverpool will face challenges this season. Of course Liverpool are a better team than Manchester United at the moment, but I will support my team. Of course I will support my team,” concluded Neville.

After the international break, United travel to Southampton before opening their Carabao Cup match at home to Barnsley.

It's probably fair to say that if these two games don't go to plan, Neville and Keane could have a whole new perspective on United's hopes and ambitions for the season.
