Autopsies of 6 dead Hamas hostages reveal horrific details, all were executed by… | World News

The autopsies of six Hamas hostages found in a tunnel in Rafah on Saturday afternoon, August 31, have revealed gruesome details. The Health Ministry said it had been determined that the hostages were killed 48 to 72 hours before their autopsies, between Thursday and Friday morning.

The Abu Kabir Forensic Institute found that all six hostages were shot multiple times at close range, The Times Of Israel reported. The Israeli Defense Forces said Hamas terrorists executed the hostages shortly before their bodies were found by troops.

The six murdered hostages were Hersh Goldberg-Polin, Eden Yerushalmi, Ori Danino, Alex Lobanov, Carmel Gat and Almog Sarusi. IDF Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Herzi Halevi visited the site where the bodies were found to take stock. The head of the IDF Southern Command, Major General Yaron Finkelman, and the hostage leader, Major General (ret.) Nitzan Alon, accompanied Halevi.

According to Channel 12, security officials believe Hamas may have killed the hostages because they feared that a hostage who was recently rescued alive would reveal details about the whereabouts of the other hostages. Last week, Israeli army special forces freed 52-year-old Farhan al-Qadi.

IDF spokesman says hostages were ‘brutally murdered’

IDF spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari had previously stated that the six hostages had been “brutally murdered” by Hamas. “According to an initial assessment… they were brutally murdered by Hamas terrorists shortly before our arrival. They were kidnapped alive by the Hamas terrorist group on the morning of October 7,” Hagari said.

“Their bodies were found in a tunnel during the fighting in Rafah, about a kilometer away from the tunnel from which we rescued Farhan al-Qadi a few days ago,” he added.

The IDF said they had a rough idea of a place where the six hostages could be held, but not the exact location. “Since Farhan was found, the troops were given even more attention than usual because it was believed that there could be more hostages in the area. We had no information about the exact location of the hostages,” Hagari said.

After the hostages were found dead in a tunnel, their bodies were reportedly recovered from Gaza overnight and brought to Israel for identification. When news of their deaths broke, mass demonstrations took place across Israel, with protesters calling on the government to reach an agreement to release the remaining hostages.
