Pedestrian hit and killed on Route 30 in Absecon

One person was killed in an early morning accident on Route 30 (Absecon Boulevard) in Absecon.

Car pedestrian accident

According to Absecon police, the accident occurred around 3:30 a.m. Sunday morning on Route 30, just west of the Delilah Road overpass.

According to police, the driver of the vehicle remained on site and is cooperating with the police.

Police were unable to identify the person killed or the driver of the vehicle.

Traffic in the region was interrupted for about four hours.

Witnesses wanted

Absecon Police are asking anyone who witnessed the accident to come forward.
