According to LSO, a man has died after a bizarre accident involving a UTV

LINCOLN, Nebraska (KOLN) – Officials with the Lancaster County Sheriff's Office said a 45-year-old man from Madison, Nebraska, was killed in a bizarre accident Sunday evening.

Sergeant Chad Bryant of the LSO said on 10/11 that emergency crews were called to the area of 1st Street & Davey Road in northern Lancaster County around 9 p.m. Bryant says they received reports that a man had fallen out of a moving UTV on Davey Road (a gravel road).

Bryant says the injuries the man sustained required him to be taken by helicopter to Bryan West Hospital after paramedics performed life-saving measures on the scene. Bryant stated the man later died at the hospital from those injuries.

Bryant says witnesses told officers that the 45-year-old changed position in the UTV while driving before falling out. He added that there were six other people in the vehicle at the time.

LSO is still investigating the accident. Bryant says the man's name will be released at a later date.

Lincoln Fire and Rescue, StarCare and volunteers from Raymond Rural Fire & Rescue arrived at the scene along with the Sheriff's Office.
