Lawyers convict Trump after “confession” on Fox News

Donald Trump attempted to defend himself on Sunday against the criminal charges brought against him in the election interference trial – but according to experts, it sounded more like a confession.

On Fox News, Trump boasted that his poll numbers rise every time he is impeached.

“Whoever heard, you are being charged with interfering in a presidential election, which you have every right to do. You are being charged and your poll numbers are going up,” he said.

Trump faces charges in multiple jurisdictions and cases, including election interference in a criminal case in federal court in Washington. Last week, he was charged again to comply with the Supreme Court's order, which ruled in July that Trump could not be prosecuted for “official acts.”

On Sunday, however, Trump bluntly stated that he had “every right” to “interfere” in the election.
