The suspect was in his vehicle and drove off south. San Francisco police said he was “involved in attempted vehicular homicide.” He is believed to have been involved in several hit-and-run accidents that struck pedestrians and emergency responders “across San Francisco.”

Several other injured people were taken to hospital after the accidents.

A San Francisco Police Department officer found the suspect's car in Mission Dolores Park. The officer attempted to make contact, but the suspect drove into the occupied police car. The officer was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect fled again, jumping out of his car near the intersection of Carson and Douglass Streets, and climbing a tree near the intersection of Seward and 19th Streets.

He eventually jumped out of the tree and was arrested. Charges are pending. The suspect was taken to the hospital.
