Krisztián Lisztes, the new signing from Eintracht, is apparently supposed to gain match practice in the Regionalliga before he is ready for the Bundesliga.

Frankfurt – Eintracht Frankfurt has a precise plan for the young Hungarian talent Krisztián Lisztes. The 19-year-old offensive player, who recently moved from Ferencváros Budapest to the German club, is initially supposed to gain match practice in the U21 team in the regional league, as the Kickers-Sportmagazin reports. Despite his strong performances in Hungary, Eintracht Frankfurt sees this step as necessary to introduce him to the physical demands of the Bundesliga.

Born and raised in Budapest, Lisztes began his career in the youth ranks of MTK Budapest before moving to city rivals Ferencváros. There he quickly attracted attention for his versatility on the pitch, both as a goalscorer and as a provider. During his time, Ferencváros won the Hungarian championship twice and was named Discovery of the Season in the 2023 season.

At Ferencváros, Lisztes established himself as a key player, regularly scoring important goals and providing crucial assists. His performances were instrumental in his team's domestic success. UEFA listed him as a “Player to watch” for 2024 due to his impressive performances.

The move to Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer was the next step in his career. During the summer preparation, Lisztes already showed his ability and adaptability. Despite considering loaning him out for more match practice, the club decided against it. The decision to let him play in the Regionalliga should help him to develop further.

Long-term planning with Eintracht talent

The strategic decision not to loan the midfielder but to develop him through training with the first team and playing time in the regional league shows Eintracht Frankfurt's long-term planning and confidence in his abilities more broadly. This approach should allow him to gradually adapt to German football and prove his abilities.

How Krisztián Lisztes' career will develop remains exciting. Eintracht Frankfurt obviously has high expectations of the young player and the decision to keep him in the Regionalliga could prove to be a smart move. Will he be able to assert himself and find his way into the first team? The coming months will show how well Lisztes can master the challenges that await him. (smr)
