Rideshare driver in Toronto charged with sexual harassment of passengers

A ride-sharing service driver has been charged after allegedly sexually harassing several passengers.

According to Toronto police, officers responded to a sexual assault call in the area of ​​Birchmount Road and Danforth Road on August 28.

It is alleged that a woman who used a ride-sharing service was commuting to work and was sexually harassed by the driver.

On Friday, August 30, police charged 47-year-old Sabir Hussain Cheema of Toronto with three counts of sexual assault and two counts of sexual battery.

He is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice at 10 Armoury Street on Tuesday, October 15.

Investigators believe there may be more victims and are urging anyone with information to contact police.
