While it is still too early to say that PSV will win the Eredivisie again this season, early signs suggest that the other teams in the league will have to do something special to stop them.

The Farmers broke several records on their way to winning the title last season, losing just one league game all season and are likely to be in even better shape as they start this season.

After only three games Peter BoszThe team has already scored an incredible 13 goals: five of them on the opening weekend, three against Heracles on matchday two and seven away at Almere City last weekend.

Against De Zwarte Schapen, six different players were on the scoresheet, the seventh goal was an own goal by Theo Barbet 12 minutes before the final whistle.

This weekend, PSV returns to the Philips Stadium, where they are currently unbeaten in 28 league games, including 25 wins and three draws, a record that stretches back to January 2023.

Meanwhile, the Go Ahead Eagles continued their season-on-season progress last season, securing a place in the top half after finishing 11th in 2022-23 and 13th in their first season back in the top flight.

However, the pride of the IJssel got off to a poor start to the new season, missing out on qualification for the Conference League after losing 2-1 on aggregate to Norwegian team Brann earlier this month.

After this disappointment, new boss Paul Simonis He suffered defeats in his first two league games as coach against Fortuna Sittard and newly promoted Willem II, but recorded his first competitive win last weekend, beating RKC Waalwijk 2-0 at home.

Unfortunately for Simonis, history suggests that it will be very difficult for him to repeat that result here, as his team has lost all of its last eight meetings with the upcoming opponent, being beaten 19-4 during that time.

We think: PSV Eindhoven 3-0 Go Ahead Eagles

With PSV having scored 13 goals in their first three games of the season, it is hard to imagine Go Ahead Eagles winning this match. The hosts are unbeaten in 28 matches at the Philips Stadion and we believe they will extend that record with another comfortable win in this match.
