Sexual assault: 13-year-old girl attacked by 2 men in Farrukhabad

Agra: A 13-year-old girl was allegedly sexually abused by a 24-year-old manwho worked as an errand boy at a government school where she was studying, and his 25-year-old colleague in Farrukhabad.
The incident took place about five months ago and only recently came to light when the family of the girl, who was living with the trauma, discovered that she was pregnant. They approached the local police station and filed a complaint against the accused.
Police said a case has been registered under sections 376 (rape), 506 (criminal intimidation), 120-B (criminal conspiracy) and Pocso Act of the IPC and a police team has been deployed to arrest the culprits. The girl has been taken to a district hospital for medical examination and her statement will be recorded before the magistrate, police added.
SHO of Kaimganj, Ram Awtar Singh, said on Sunday, “A case under sections of rape and Pocso has been registered and investigation is on. Appropriate action will be taken.”
In her Complaint to the policeThe girl's mother explained: “About five months ago, my daughter was caught by the two accused near my house at night and taken to a vacant lot where one of them raped her. The other accused stood outside and guarded the lot. They sent my daughter back after threatening her with dire consequences. Out of fear, she did not tell anyone about the crime at the time and is now five months pregnant.”
