Local sports Football Oberliga Giardini show at SV Oberachern's home win Ortenau news

Scored three goals in the confident 4-1 victory of the football top division team from Ortenau against newly promoted FC 08 Villingen II.

After the 1:2 defeat at the start of the season against FV Ravensburg and the 1:1 against the highly-rated VfR Mannheim, the top division football club SV Oberachern finally managed to achieve its long-awaited first home victory at the third attempt with a 4:1 (2:0) victory over the second team of the regional league club FC 08 Villingen. Emanuele Giardini played a major role in the clear victory, single-handedly bringing the promoted team from the Black Forest to its knees with his three goals.

SVO coach Fabian Himmel had to take a deep breath: “The boys knew how important this game was for us after we recently gave away a possible victory in Leinfelden-Echterdingen. The utilization of opportunities was still not good today, but it is moving in a direction where you can also hurt the opponent.”

Huber strong as a bear

The Achertäler team took command right from the start and hardly allowed the guests to develop. With a brilliant pass from the center circle, Oberachern's strong captain Nico Huber set Emanuele Giardini off and he left Villingen's keeper Lavdrim Amiti with no chance of defending the 1-0 in the 17th minute. Before that, both Cemal Durmus (3rd) and Luca Fritz (10th) had the SVO lead on their feet after Huber's preparatory work. After another Huber cross, Fritz was initially thwarted by Amiti, but Giardini put the blocked ball into the net to make it 2-0 (25th). It was only gradually that the away guests, who had not yet scored a point or a goal, found their way into the party. The SVO also had the necessary luck when Dario Holenstein narrowly missed Mark Redl's goal from close range (28th). Until the half-time whistle, the SVO was closer to making it 3-0 than the guests were to scoring. Giardini narrowly missed the Villingen goal (36th minute) and Huber, who had a clear path, was stopped by Amiti's brilliant reaction (41st minute).

Just 12 seconds after the break, Villingen's keeper was beaten for a third time and Emanuele Giardini was the scorer again. With the fastest Oberachern Oberliga goal in the second half to date, he also secured a place in the club's history books. To the surprise of the 230 spectators, it was the guests who got into the party better after that, despite the 0:3. A header from Frederick Bruno just missed the target (53') and just a minute later, substitute Vladimir Biller was stopped by SVO keeper Redl. The guests were then rewarded with a goal by Flavio Vogt, who punished an uncertainty in the SVO defensive behavior (57'). But then it was Marvin Ludwig who finally gave the guests' hopes a boost. Following the fifth corner, the defense chief was successful from close range to make it 4:1 (73'). Shortly afterwards, his header was stopped by a strong save from Amiti. Substitute new signing Kevin Gießler hit the post in the 84th minute.

Wednesday in Bietigheim-Bissingen

Villingen's coach Daniel Miletic spoke of a “victory that was well deserved by the SVO” after his team's clear defeat. “Today's victory is fine, but we also know that we have to follow up on Wednesday,” continued Himmel, because that's when his SVO will travel to the bottom of the table FSV 08 Bietigheim-Bissingen, who are still without a point.
