One teenager killed, another injured in shooting at Michigan State Fair

LANSING, Mich. (WILX) – Police in Novi are investigating a fatal shooting at the Michigan State Fair late Saturday night.

Novi police said two people, two teenagers according to our WDIV-TV in Detroit, were shot just before 10 p.m. and were taken to a nearby hospital. One of the two died of his injuries and the other is still in the hospital.

The shooting occurred in the parking lot outside the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, where the State Fair is held.

Police believe the shooting was an isolated incident and posed no threat to the public. As of early Sunday morning, police had not released a description or information about a possible suspect.
