Day 331: Israeli army kills and injures dozens of Palestinians in Gaza Strip |

On Sunday, the 331st day of the ongoing genocide, Israeli rockets and shells killed and injured dozens of Palestinians in the starving, ravaged and besieged Gaza Strip.

Israeli army warplanes bombed two homes belonging to the Muftah and Bulbul families near the city park west of Gaza City, killing a Palestinian child and a man and injuring at least six Palestinians.

The army also fired a rocket at Palestinians in the Sheja'eyya neighborhood east of Gaza City, killing one Palestinian and wounding many others. It also bombed areas in the Zeitoun neighborhood.

In addition, the army fired numerous artillery shells at the Qleibo region in northern Gaza and blew up a residential area in the Tuffah district.

In central Gaza, the army fired artillery shells at the Al-Boreij refugee camp, killing one Palestinian and injuring several residents.

In addition, the army fired numerous artillery shells and rockets on Salahuddin Street near Zawaida and north of the Nusseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, causing casualties.

In the southern Gaza Strip, the army fired artillery shells at the town of Al-Fakhari, east of Khan Younis, causing many casualties.

In addition, the army wired and blew up three residential blocks in Rafah in the southernmost part of the Gaza Strip.

In addition, the army bombed the Hanthal family's house in the Jabalia refugee camp in the north of the Gaza Strip, killing three Palestinians: Bilal Abu Khater, Ahmad Al-Bahri and Talal Abu Hajar.

In Gaza City, the army bombed numerous areas near the university building, while naval ships fired live ammunition at the areas west of the city.

In related news, the army said it had found the bodies of six Israeli prisoners in Rafah; they were identified as Hersh Goldberg-Polin, Eden Yerushalmi, Carmel Gat, Almog Sarusi, Alexander Lobanov and Ori Danino.

The army claimed the six may have been killed by their captors as they operated nearby before they managed to reach them.

The army said the six were not killed in recent firefights with Palestinian fighters and said: “The army has not used violence in the area.”

It said the six were found in an area just about a kilometer from where another prisoner, 52-year-old Kayed Farhan Al-Kadi from Rahat, was found just a week earlier.

The army's extensive and indiscriminate bombing and artillery fire throughout the Gaza Strip were not taken into account in the Israeli reports.

Al-Jazeera quoted Israel's Yedioth Ahronoth as saying that three of the killed Israelis whose bodies the army found were on a list of Israeli prisoners whose release Hamas had already promised in July.

The Israeli army radio station said the four could have returned alive if a prisoner exchange agreement had been reached.

Hamas said the six Israelis were killed by Israeli rockets, adding that if US President Joe Biden had been concerned about the lives of the six Israelis, he could have stopped supporting Israeli aggression.

Ezzat Resheq, a member of Hamas' political bureau, said: “Unlike Biden, we attach great importance to keeping them alive. That is why we accepted his ceasefire proposal and the Security Council resolution, while Netanyahu opposed it.”

Resheq stated that Israel and the United States were responsible for the deaths of the Israeli prisoners because they rejected the ceasefire and continued the genocide in the Gaza Strip.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel has been bombing the Gaza Strip by land, sea and air, killing at least 40,691 citizens and injuring 94,060 others, mostly children, women and the elderly. In addition, thousands are still lying under the rubble, on bombed streets and in destroyed alleys, beyond the reach of paramedics and rescue teams.

Among the Palestinians killed are at least 16,589 children, 11,207 women, 182 journalists, 23 rescue workers, 885 medical personnel, 82 civil defense workers and 203 UNRWA staff.
