Met Éireann makes important predictions in the weather forecast for Ireland for the coming week

Met Éireann has released its weather forecast for the first full week of September and it is rather mixed.

Ireland had a warm and sunny weekend and although it will be sunny again next week, expect changeable weather.

Met Éireann forecasts that Monday morning will be “cloudy with showers and patches of fog”.

“In the west it will gradually become drier and clearer during the afternoon and evening, elsewhere it will remain cloudy with some heavy and possibly thundery showers. Mainly light to moderate northwest winds, fresh at times. Maximum temperatures between 14 and 18 degrees.”

They add: “There will be rain in the east overnight into Monday, sometimes heavily. In other areas it will remain mainly dry, with clearings, but there will be some light showers in the west. Lowest temperatures will be between 7 and 11 degrees with light to moderate west to northwest or variable winds.

“There will be isolated showers on Tuesday. It will be mostly cloudy at first, but it will become increasingly sunny as the day progresses. Maximum temperatures between 15 and 19 degrees with light to moderate west to northwest winds,” says the weather forecast.

“Mostly dry with a mix of clouds and clear periods [on Tuesday night]. A few showers will form overnight, mainly in the west and north. Minimum temperatures of 7 to 12 degrees with light west to northwest winds.

“On Wednesday, sunny spells and isolated showers. Maximum temperatures of 13 to 16 degrees with light to moderate northwest winds.

“On Wednesday night it will be mostly dry and clear, but isolated showers are possible in the east and southeast. Minimum temperatures of 5 to 9 degrees with a light north wind.

“Thursday will be mainly dry, with increasing cloud cover and possibly some showers moving southeast. Maximum temperatures of 15 to 19 degrees with a moderate to fresh north to northeast breeze,” they concluded.
