A man dies in a collision near Estevan

A man died in an accident on a highway near Estevan, Sask., on Friday evening.

RCMP and Estevan police responded to a report of a two-vehicle crash on Highway 39 east of Highway 47 around 7 p.m.

The investigation revealed that a car collided with a semi-trailer truck. The 66-year-old Estevan man who was driving the car was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the semi-trailer was treated for minor injuries.

The investigation is being conducted by an accident reconstructionist from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

Estevan, Sask. is located about 204 kilometres south of Regina.
