Training for political candidates held in Pulwama – Kashmir Reader

PULWAMA: In preparation for the upcoming Legislative Assembly elections, a comprehensive training session for political candidates was held at the District Administrative Complex in Pulwama on Saturday.
The session was led by a team of experienced master trainers who provided important guidance on the electoral process, compliance with the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) and other crucial aspects of the election campaign.
The training was attended by candidates and their representatives from various political parties contesting in the district's constituencies. The aim of the training was to ensure that all candidates are familiar with the electoral guidelines and are able to conduct their campaigns fairly, transparently and legally.
Key topics covered in the training included spending limits, campaign guidelines and the importance of maintaining the sanctity of the electoral process. Particular emphasis was placed on compliance with the code of conduct, with trainers stressing the importance of ethical behaviour during the election campaign.
In addition, the Nodal Officer for MCC provided detailed instructions on the critical aspects of the Code of Conduct and stressed the importance of maintaining decorum and fairness throughout the election campaign. The Nodal Officer for Expenditure also briefed the candidates on the financial regulations governing campaign expenditure and stressed the need for transparency and accurate reporting.
The training session also included interactive discussions where candidates had an opportunity to seek clarification on various election-related topics. The master trainers provided detailed answers and ensured that all questions were answered comprehensively.
The district administration reiterated its commitment to ensure free, fair and transparent elections and urged all political candidates to strictly adhere to the guidelines imparted during the training.
