Boston police arrest suspect in connection with fatal knife attack on 45-year-old man

BOSTON — Boston police say a suspect has been arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 45-year-old man in Jamaica Plain earlier this month. Jordan Albert-Scott, 33, of Mattapan, was arrested Friday afternoon by members of the police Fugitive Unit.

Albert-Scott was arrested around 2:20 p.m. near 182 Dudley Street. He was wanted on a Roxbury District Court murder warrant for the killing of Daniel Coke, 45, of Jamaica Plain. Authorities have confirmed that Albert-Scott will be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.

The incident that led to the murder charge occurred on Sunday, August 4, 2024. At approximately 4:42 a.m., officers from District E-13 responded to a report of a stabbing at 10 Amory Terrace. Upon arrival, police found Coke suffering from a stab wound. He was transported to a local hospital but later succumbed to his injuries.

The Boston Police Department's Homicide Unit continues to investigate the circumstances of the case.

    MUNHALL, Pennsylvania. — A 19-year-old man was hospitalized early this morning after he was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of East Eugene Avenue and Valewood Drive, according to the Allegheny County Sheriff's Department. The incident occurred at approximately 12:17 a.m. when the county's 9-1-1 emergency dispatch line received a call about the collision.

    When emergency services arrived at the scene, they found the victim trapped under the vehicle. Emergency services managed to free him and he was taken to a nearby hospital in stable condition.

    The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with authorities. Detectives from the Allegheny County Police Department's Homicide Unit have launched an investigation into the circumstances of the incident.

    RANDALLSTOWN, Maryland. — Baltimore County police are searching for a 15-year-old girl reported missing from the Randallstown area. The missing teen, identified as Destiny Simms, was last seen wearing a black shirt or hoodie, gray shorts and flip-flops, a police department statement said.

    Simms is described as being 5'3″ tall and weighing about 110 pounds. Authorities have classified her disappearance as critical and are urging anyone with information about her whereabouts to contact them immediately.

    The teenager was last seen in the Randallstown area, but the exact time of her disappearance has not been released. Baltimore County Police are asking the public to call 911 or 410-307-2020 if they have information that could help locate Simms.
