New Delhi:

A 19-year-old was critically injured after seven boys attacked him with knives and stabbed him eight times in the Neb Sarai district of south Delhi, police said on Saturday.

Yash was admitted to hospital with numerous injuries on his body, where his condition is classified as critical, it was said.

Yash, a resident of Raju Park, was stabbed to death by a group of minors on Friday while he was on his way to respond to a road rage incident that occurred a day earlier.

An official said a case under Section 109(1)/3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita was registered and all seven youths were arrested.

Four knives used in the stabbing were confiscated.

On Thursday, Yash and some of his friends were standing on the road to Deoli when two boys came on a motorcycle and braked abruptly.

The incident resulted in Yash and his friends beating up the two boys, the official said.

In the incident on Saturday, the two boys and five other friends harassed Yash and stabbed him several times.
