Former Penn State lineman predicts overwhelming victory against West Virginia

Former Penn State offensive lineman AQ Shipley is confident about Penn State's chances in its season opener against West Virginia. How confident? Extremely.

Shipley was a guest on The Pat McAfee Show with host Pat McAfee, a well-known West Virginia alumnus and superfan. McAfee broadcast his daily talk show live from Morgantown to a raucous crowd of West Virginia fans who were not so kind to Penn State during the segment.

Naturally, McAfee asked Shipley for his prediction for this weekend's game, and Shipley put it all on the Nittany Lions, predicting a decisive win for Penn State.

A 25-point win and a 20-point lead at halftime? That would be pretty impressive for Penn State, which enters the game as a favorite by just over a touchdown, according to the latest gameday odds.

Shipley is a former teammate of McAfee's from his days with the Indianapolis Colts. Shipley played for the Colts in 2012 and 2014. McAfee was a two-time Pro Bowl punter for the Colts from 2009-2016.

Penn State and West Virginia open the season with their game at 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time on Fox.
