Chief Minister N Biren Singh strongly condemned the attack, saying: “The repeated attacks on our people, often under the guise of peace rallies, is a deeply disturbing trend. Such provocations will not be tolerated. Sources suspect that the attack may have been related to Haokip's participation in a discussion on a local television station, where he expressed various views.
