Another woman dies in Berlin after knife attack

In Berlin, another woman was stabbed to death by a man with a knife. The 28-year-old was discovered with life-threatening injuries in the hallway of an apartment building in Berlin-Friedrichsfelde late Friday evening, the public prosecutor's office and police announced. Attempts to resuscitate her were reportedly unsuccessful, and the woman died shortly afterwards in a hospital.

That night, police were able to arrest a 45-year-old suspect who is said to have attacked the 28-year-olds with a knife. He is in police custody.

The background to the crime is unclear. It is also not yet known what the relationship between the arrested man and the victim is. A homicide squad and the Berlin public prosecutor's office are investigating.

Just last Wednesday evening, a woman and mother of four children was allegedly killed with a knife by her ex-husband in Berlin.
