New Delhi, Aug 31 (PTI) – The body of a 68-year-old man with injuries on his wrist was recovered from his house in south Delhi's Malviya Nagar, police said on Saturday.

According to police, initial investigations indicate that the deceased, Kuldeep Tondon, committed suicide.

A PCR call was received on Friday regarding a suicide at a house in B Block of Malviya Nagar, a police official said.

When they arrived on site, they found that the house was locked from the inside, the officer said. The door had to be opened with the help of a locksmith.

“When we entered the house, we found Kuldeep Tondon lying on the floor. Some injuries were observed on his wrist,” the police report said.

Tandon lived in the house with his wife. Last week, she had gone to a relative's house after a minor argument between the couple. Since then, the deceased had been living alone in the house, the official said.

The body of the deceased has been kept at the AIIMS morgue for post-mortem, he said.

Further legal action will be taken after the post-mortem report, he added. PTI ALK BHJ BHJ
