Motorcyclist thrown out of danger zone in accident and hit by car on SR-91 in Anaheim

Anaheim, California. – A motorcyclist died in a crash that occurred Friday evening on State Route 91 in Anaheim, the California Highway Patrol said.

The accident was reported around 11:05 p.m. in the westbound lanes of the highway west of Gypsum Canyon Road.

According to the CHP, a motorcycle collided with another vehicle and the motorcyclist was thrown onto the roadway. The driver was then struck by another car.

The motorcyclist lay vomiting on the road and his friend performed CPR before emergency services arrived. Several other motorists had stopped to offer help.

Firefighters responded to the scene of the accident and closed several lanes.

Firefighters determined the motorcyclist dead at the scene and requested a coroner from the Orange County Sheriff's Department to come to the scene of the accident.

The police were not immediately able to determine what caused the accident, but the investigation is ongoing.
