Update, Thursday (22 August): On day 8 in the jungle camp, another candidate had to leave the group. This time it was Winfried Glatzeder He received the most votes when asked which candidate was not a worthy jungle legend.

First report, Wednesday (21 August): Dortmund – In “I’m a Celebrity – Showdown of the Jungle Legends” (IBES), candidates from previous seasons of the jungle camp meet each other. The candidates are therefore not only reality pros, but also jungle professionals. Nevertheless, in the end only one can become king or queen. Celebrities regularly have to leave the show.

How exactly this happens can vary. RTL has changed the rules for the jungle camp. This means that because the summer jungle camp is recorded, the viewers do not decide the fate of the candidates. Instead, there will be various methods by which celebrities can be eliminated. Among other games, the show's editors or the other participants will decide who has to leave the camp.

David Ortega was already affected in episode two of the Legends season. The actor had already attracted negative attention in the camp and got his comeuppance from his fellow contestants: the other candidates voted him out. Elena Miras will take his place instead.

On day seven Hanka Rackwitz left the jungle camp voluntarily. With the words “I'm a celebrity – get me out of here!” she turned her back on the show. The mood in the camp became too much for her.

Just as unclear as the “how” is the point in time at which the celebrities have to move out. Traditionally, the participants in the jungle camp leave the RTL show from the second week onwards. The closer the finale gets, the more the camp is thinned out.

David's departure on day two was a surprise for everyone, and RTL could continue to hold on to this effect. It is completely unclear when the next celebrity will have to leave the show and has not yet been clearly communicated by the presenters Sonja Zietlow and Jan Köppen.
