Nighttime attack: Several people attack 18-year-old in Algeria

Algermissen – An 18-year-old was injured in a nighttime attack in Algeria – several people are said to have beaten him. The police are now hoping for information from witnesses, as there are still many unanswered questions about the case.

According to the investigations so far, the incident occurred on Saturday night at around 2:40 a.m. According to the 18-year-old's description, several unknown people approached him in the parking lot of the Nah & Gut market on Kolpingstrasse and attacked him. There were six people in total, the Algermissen resident told the police.

Still many unanswered questions

“The 18-year-old then went to the stewards of the nearby festival, who then called the emergency services,” says Christopher Bubenheimer of the Sarstedt police. There are currently no details about how the fight happened: Did the perpetrators and the victim know each other? Did they meet at the festival beforehand and possibly argue? And in which direction did the perpetrators flee? There are no answers to any of these questions so far. There is also no description of the perpetrator. The only thing that is certain is that the 18-year-old was slightly injured.

The investigators are therefore now looking for witnesses who observed suspicious persons around Kolpingstrasse at the time of the crime or who saw or heard anything unusual and are asking them to call the Sarstedt police on 0 50 66 / 98 50.
