Cruz Estanislao of Streamwood, Illinois, charged with sexually abusing a one-year-old family member and producing child pornography

STREAMWOOD, Ill. (WLS) — A man from a northwest suburb has been charged with sexually abusing a 1-year-old girl, the DuPage County District Attorney's Office said.

Cruz Estanislao, a 24-year-old Streamwood man, was charged with four counts of sexual abuse of a victim under the age of 13, one count of Class X child pornography and one count of Class 1 child pornography.

Estanislao appeared in court on Friday and a judge ruled that he must remain behind bars until trial.

A special agent with the Child Exploitation Investigations Division of the Department of Homeland Security's Cybercrime Center received information on August 19 about the alleged production of child pornography through the Wickr application under the name “allfun2023.”

This unit and the Hanover Park Police Department identified Estanislao as a suspect.

Estanislao is alleged to have produced the child pornography while sexually abusing a family member who was about one year old at the time.

Estanislao is said to have also shared these videos on the Wickr application between February and April 2023.

On August 29 of this year, special agents from the Department of Homeland Security arrested Estanislao after police stopped a vehicle he was traveling in.

Estanislao's arraignment is scheduled for September 23.
