Shivam Bhaje OTT release: Ashwin Babu's action drama available to stream. Check when and where to watch it

After his impressive performance in 'Hidimba', Ashwin Babu's latest film 'Shivam Bhaje' has made the transition from theatres to digital platforms. Released on August 1, 2024, the film directed by Abdul Apsar Hussain was unfortunately not a success at the box office but is now available for streaming on both Aha and Amazon Prime Video.

Plot and Cast of Shivam Bhaje

Shivam Bhaje tells the fascinating story of a man who unexpectedly and chaotically receives a dog eye transplant after a tragic accident. These eyes belong to a police dog, leading to a series of dramatic and action-packed events as the protagonist gets involved in a high-profile terrorist attack. The film's unique concept and its blend of action and thriller elements aimed to captivate the audience.

Despite the film's creative premise, it struggled to make an impact in theatres. The production, helmed by Maheswara Reddy Mooli, featured a notable cast with Digangana Suryavanshi in the female lead, Arbaaz Khan as the main antagonist and supporting roles by Hyper Aadi, Brahmaji and Tanikella Bharani. Vikas Badisa composed the film's music, while Dasaradhi Shivendra handled the cinematography and Chota K Prasad handled the editing.

Shivam Bhaje OTT Release

Bringing the film to OTT platforms could give it a new lease of life. Both Aha and Amazon Prime Video have started streaming 'Shivam Bhaje' from August 30, 2024. The digital release will provide a wider audience with an opportunity to experience the film's unique narrative.

Critics have noted that while Ashwin Babu delivered a commendable performance, especially in the action and emotional scenes, the reception of the film was mixed. Arbaaz Khan's portrayal of a menacing villain added depth to the narrative, while Digangana Suryavanshi's role received less attention. Hyper Aadi's comedic timing provided some variety amidst the intense plot.

Shivam Bhaje aims to offer a new perspective in the Telugu cinema landscape, combining thriller elements with a distinctive narrative. With the film currently streaming on Aha and Amazon Prime Video, it will be interesting to see how the film fares on digital platforms and if it finds a new audience there.
