Désirée Nosbusch, actress Since her comeback with “Bad Banks” in 2018, Désirée Nosbusch has had one success after another: in front of the camera as an actress and behind it as a producer and director. For the 59-year-old, moving behind the camera was initially Plan B. “There was a time before I shot 'Bad Banks' when my career as an actress practically no longer existed. But I never gave up the desire to make films.” Désirée Nosbusch began her career in July 1977 as a twelve-year-old children's presenter on Radio Luxembourg. A career unprecedented in Germany followed. She literally stumbled into the profession, says the mother of two children. Today she wishes she had appreciated this enormous success more. Désirée Nosbusch is now starring in the new episodes of the TV series “Der Irland-Krimi”. Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg and Gregor Gysi, ex-politicians Opposites attract: This is especially true of the two ex-politicians Karl Theodor zu Guttenberg, CSU, and Gregor Gysi, Die Linke. They are the best proof that people with different party books can indeed make friends. In their podcast “Gysi gegen Guttenberg” they have been appreciatively and honestly crossing ideological boundaries for almost a year and showing how dialogue can work today. Karl Theodor zu Guttenberg left the office of Federal Minister of Defense at the age of 39 after allegations of plagiarism in 2011, while Gregor Gysi will retire from active politics in 2023 at the age of 75. In their new book, the two political stars devote themselves to topics that move Germany: politically, socially and privately. Gysi and zu Guttenberg talk in the “NDR Talk Show” about how they miss the political system today, what unites them and what separates them. Ilka Bessin, comedian and presenter 20 years ago, Ilka Bessin from Luckenwalde slipped into a pink jogging suit, put on a crown and became the comedy character Cindy from Marzahn. Her meteoric career began in the “Quatsch Comedy Club”. Before that, she worked as a cook, waitress and entertainer on a cruise ship and was unemployed for four years. She knows life with all its ups and downs. For twelve years she acted on everything from small stages to Broadway and in 2016 decided to hang up the pink jogging suit in the closet. As Ilka Bessin, she presents various formats and social issues are close to her heart. And she is bringing a comedy program to the stage as Ilka Bessin. But now she is finally doing it again: for the 20th anniversary, the jogging suit is being ironed out and Cindy from Marzahn is going on tour again. All men are black, she sees the future in pink! Sabin Tambrea, actor and author Sabin Tambrea comes from a Romanian family of musicians who fled to Germany in the mid-1980s to escape the dictatorial Ceausescu regime. He learned to play the violin, viola and piano, but then decided to pursue a career as an actor. He became a crowd favorite in the TV series “Ku'damm” and also demonstrated his versatility in roles such as Jesus, Kafka, Siegfried, vampire, stalker, lover, murder suspect and Rübezahl. After the success of his debut novel, he has now written the story of his family. In his current book “Vaterländer” and in the “NDR Talk Show”, the 39-year-old tells how his family was initially separated and then happily reunited. Reinhold Messner, mountaineer and author Reinhold Messner turns 80 on September 17th. As a mountaineer, he is a legend: he has climbed all 14 eight-thousanders, Mount Everest without bottled oxygen, and was the first person to climb Nanga Parbat alone. He is a border crosser, a gifted storyteller, but also a warning voice who will draw attention to the destruction of nature and the mountains. Since 2021, he has been married for the third time to Luxembourger Diane Messner and runs the Messner Mountain Heritage company with her at Juval Castle in the Vinschgau region of South Tyrol. In his book “Gegenwind” and in the “NDR Talk Show”, he reflected on friendships and intrigues, alpine and private highlights and setbacks, and the ability to achieve things even in old age. Ulla Lohmann, volcano expert and expedition photographer She goes to places where things are boiling, bubbling, and sparks are flying, because Ulla Lohmann's passion is volcanoes. They have documented the most active volcanoes in Europe and have been present at volcanic eruptions on several occasions. She was the first woman in the world to climb into the interior of an active volcano to take photographs. Her spectacular photos earned her the reputation of being the “hottest woman in Germany”. Even as a child she had a strong sense of adventure, and at the age of 18 she won the national “Jugend forscht” competition with her reconstruction of an amphibian skeleton. She used the prize money to finance her first trip around the world, studied geography and became a photojournalist. Ulla Lohmann tells the “NDR Talk Show” how long she lasted 600 metres down in a volcano, what equipment she needed for it and how people live with their volcanoes. Ewald Arenz, writer and teacher The bestselling author Ewald Arenz is one of the most productive and successful writers in Germany today. After a few semesters of law, the Nuremberg native studied English, American studies and history and became a high school teacher. The father of three sons has been writing novels since 1996. “Old Varieties,” “The Big Summer,” and “Love on Miserable Days” are among his literary hits. His fans are already eagerly awaiting the sequel, which is now coming: “Two Lives” is the name of his latest work. School, his students, and his own youth are the sources of his inspiration. He himself was anything but an exemplary student. Despite repeating a year, various reprimands for rebelliousness, and several re-examinations, he considered himself a genius at the time. Today, he looks at the teaching profession with both love and criticism, and advises parents: Stay attentive. And focus on your child. (Sender information)
