Daniel Craig's gay film 'Queer' finds ideal distributor to explore daring scenes; DEETS

Daniel Craig's upcoming film Queer, directed by Luca Guadagnino, is based on William S. Burroughs' 1985 short story of the same name. It is scheduled to hit theaters in October. However, the film is getting a new update as the actor and director said in a joint statement that A24 will be their distribution partner.

Starring Drew Starkey, Lesley Manville, Jason Schwartzman and Henry Zaga, the film is already generating excitement among audiences. Now that A24 has come together with the team, fans believe the film will not stop shooting any daring or intense scenes just for the sake of it. A24 has a reputation as a bold studio. The film had its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival.

Queer has found its US distributor in A24, a studio known for films such as MaXXXine, Dream Scenario, The Iron Claw and more. The James Bond actor and director Luca Guadagnino are very happy. After the film was screened at CAA Media Finance in June, many studios tried to seize the opportunity to become their partners. Among them, A24 had its eye on the film for a long time before finally deciding to be their distributor.

In a joint statement, Daniel and Luca announced that they had found the bravest studio in A24. They wrote: “'Queer' is a labor of love, and we couldn't be more excited that our film has found a home with such a bold, vital and groundbreaking studio as A24. We are so honored to finally bring Burroughs' legendary novel to life on screen for the first time, and we are eternally grateful and excited to be able to present it alongside our valued collaborators. We couldn't ask for better partners on this journey.”

With A24 on board, the film Queer doesn't have to skimp on bold and explicit scenes. Set in post-war Mexico City, the film centers on Lee struggling with addiction and alienation, and also deals with his sexuality and love for another man. The director recreated Mexico City on a set in Rome, Italy. The film was mostly shot within that set.

Queer is a film adaptation of the novel by William S. Burroughs, who is known for his books on homosexuality. With Daniel Craig in the lead role and Luca directing, it will definitely be a great film. Daniel is currently busy filming Knives Out 3 for Netflix. Luca Guadagnino, on the other hand, received great acclaim for his recent film Challengers, starring Zendaya.
